Speaking to reporters, the skipper said that he was expecting a tough encounter but at the same time he was confident of a good performance by his team.
“It will be a tough match, because we know that this is a good team that just qualified for the African Cup of Nations. I hope we have a good game and a big party,” he said.
The centre-back also reiterated that his team will be playing for a victory and will be putting up a good name for Sporting, so that the fans can enjoy the game.
"We are here at a good time but we’ll see who goes to the top. We will play to win. We will represent Sporting well, who did not come to Angola thirty-two years ago. We come to bring joy to fans but we do not expect facilities,” Daniel Carriço was quoted
as saying.
