Playing primarily as a centre-back, the Brazilian was the hub of his side and was not only rock solid at the back and prevented goals, but with his huge 6-ft-4 inch frame, made an impact in the opposition half as well.
While not many recognisable players call Estadio AXA their home, Douglao lavished praise in SC Braga and said that he was looking to achieve many targets during his spell in Portugal.
“It is a huge privilege to be wearing the SC Braga jersey. I hope to achieve several objectives, many achievements during my stay here.”
The 25-year-old also said that the Minhotos had shown their quality at the highest level over the years and that it would be his pleasure playing for them.
“SC Braga has demonstrated their quality over the years. It is a huge opportunity for me and it will be my pleasure to become a part of the history of this team and group.”
Talking about similarities between http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 and his homeland, Douglao was keen to acknowledge that not only did both the countries speak the same language, their culture also resembled each other, making it easier for him to adjust in his new surroundings.
"The language and culture is very similar to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Internacional-c39573 man was quoted as saying.
While he boasts some experience from his stints in Europe, it remains to be seen whether Douglao can easily adjust to the league and prove his worth by becoming the bedrock of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Braga-c40460’s backline.
