due to referee’s failure.
AC Milan lost the second-leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals tie against the Catalonians 3-1. The Rossoneri were ahead in the game on away goals after scoring an equaliser that took the score to 1-1, but the penalising

The Rossoneri playmaker insisted that his anger increased manifold after he was handed a yellow card by the referee for inquiring about the suspicious penalty verdict. The attacking midfielder stated that his anger further ascended
when he came to know about the inadequate reason behind the decision that had a huge impact on the game.
While talking to Sky Sport Italia, the Dutchman said:
“I asked the referee for clarification about the penalty and his answer was a yellow card. I asked him again after the game and he told me that the players were holding each other before. That angered me.”
The attacking-midfielder insisted that although the goal from the penalty was not decisive in the 3-1 end of the match score-line, but he maintained that the referee’s decision changed the complexion of the game. The Dutch national
believes that had it not been for the pressure from the penalty, the match could have ended differently for the visitors.
“I’d prefer to lose 7-1 than like this. Although we didn’t lose because of that penalty, it changed the psychological aspect of the game.”
Seedorf stated that the team gave their all in the 180 minutes of the tie, and believes that the Rossoneri could have accumulated more advantage in the first-leg played at San Siro. The midfielder insisted that the team still have
the Scudetto to play for, and insisted that he will wait until the end of the season before labelling the Rossoneri’s term as failure or success, this season.
“We still have the League to play for. Then, at the end of the season, we’ll see what the future holds.”
The Diavolo hold a two-point advantage over Juventus, in the run to the Scudetto.
