<p class="x_x_x_news-body">Former Sri Lankan off-spinner, Muttiah Muralitharan, has said that he would love to play alongside Danniel Vettori in the fifth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) but understands that it
is quite difficult because of the team composition.</p>
<p class="x_x_x_news-body">Vettori is the regular captain of the franchise but he dropped himself in the previous three matches of the tournament to accommodate the wily off-spinner from Sri Lanka in the playing eleven.</p>
<p class="x_x_x_news-body">RCB has a number of high-profile foreign batsmen like Chris Gayle, Tillakaratne Dilshan and AB de Villiers. This is the reason why only one out of Vettori and Murali is able to get into the team because of a restriction on the non-Indian
players.</p>
<p class="x_x_x_news-body">Vettori’s absence has meant that India’s young batting sensation, Virat Kohli is leading the team and the current combination has started to work for the star-studded unit.</p>
<p class="x_x_x_news-body">Murali expressed that the former Kiwi captain has been bowling quite well in the tournament. The left-arm spinner has taken only five wickets in the current season so far but his economy rate has been merely 6.7 runs per over, which
is good for the shortest format of the game.</p>
<p class="x_x_x_news-body">This is the reason why the off-spinner thinks that the team management had to take a harsh decision. </p>
<p class="x_x_x_news-body">“It’s not easy to do so as he is bowling really well. He is one of the bowlers to concede least runs in the IPL. It’s a big decision, and I have been playing well also. It’s ideal if both of us can make it to the eleven,” said Murali.</p>
<p class="x_x_x_news-body">The highest wicket-taker of the history of the game also praised his fellow teammate in IPL, Chris Gayle and said that the left-hander from Caribbean is not a mere hitter of the ball, in fact he is a complete batsman, who can perform
in any format. </p>
<p class="x_x_x_news-body">The legendary spinner added, “He has been unstoppable. He has been scoring fifty runs in almost every match. He is one of the best players in the world and even in Tests, he has scored 8000 runs, averaging 50. He is dangerous in all
the forms.”</p>
