And you are given tickets. Would you still go if you knew for a fact, 100% that they were going to lose?

So not only are you going to see your team lose it all but you are going to have to watch the opposing team celebrate on your team's field.

  1. yeah, I went to game 1 of 2006 World Series, Tigers lost, but it was amazing to say I was at a World Series game, its just a great baseball atmosphere.

  2. So you got a hold of a futuristic sports almanac a la "Back to the Future" and you know the outcome of a game?  Well, I wouldn't go.  Too much to take.

  3. I would still go.  There is nothing like going to the ball park and spending time there.  Losing isn't the end of the world although I must admit it would be difficult to watch the other team celebrate.

  4. I seriously doubt that I'd go to any game where I knew the outcome in advance, regardless of the situation or venue. And when you factor in that with today's high gas and ticket prices, I'd be even less likely to go...

  5. I'd go! Maybe me being there can make them win! Even if not it still would be an amazing experience!

  6. GRRRRR i'd still go & believe it won't work out that way. i watch replays of the 84 playoffs, same w/ the 2003 & everytime i get that feeling like THIS time it will be different.

    I BELIEVE - Eamus Catuli

  7. in the end it's all about the bratwurst anyway.

Of course you go! only knowing what you know . . . you go early and eat often!

Wok off noodles, Miller Chill, did I mention bratwurst?

  8. Yes because I'd like to take place in the rioting that's sure to occur afterward...

  9. Painful as it might be, yeah, I'd go. It will be something to tell your family in the future that you saw your favorite team play in the World Series in person. I've never even been to a Yankees playoff game, so I'd go for the experience of it all.

Besides, I've already endured the Yankees losing to the Marlins at home in the '03 World Series (seeing the Marlins celebrate on the Yankee Stadium turf is still tough to take) and the Red Sox celebrate the '04 ALCS win at the Stadium. (Actually, I didn't watch it, but I heard it on the radio having turned off my TV in the bottom of the 9th because I couldn't bare to have that ghastly sight burned into my memory forever. And yeah, that wasn't a World Series loss, but considering it was the Red Sox and the way it all fell apart, it was just as painful as a Series loss.)

  10. I would deffy go. I have a lot of confidence in my team. Even if they did lose, I can still celebrate the fact that they did so well and really turned themselves around.

  11. I would still go and root for my team and be glad they got as far as they did and celebrate their success in that regard.

  12. I'd go for sure, win or lose they deserve to be congratulated for getting to the WS and getting to a game 7.  Too many people put too much emphasis on winning the entire thing as being the only measure of success.

Watch Little Big League and put yourself in the boy's shoes when you come out of the dugout after they lost their one game playoff.

  13. i still would go because its a part of history that makes it worth going and to enjoy the atmosphere at the game

  14. Before 2004 I would have said no, but 86 years of pain was erased that year. Now I would say yes, because its not that often you get a chance to go to a game 7 of a World Series, and I would go to show my team appreciation for a season of success!

  15. I still would go. It would be the last game of the season for my favorite team and I would like to be there to support them, even though I know the outcome of the game. It still would be a fun game becuase it's the world series. I would still go and try to act as if I didn't know the outcome and just enjoy it and have fun! I haven't gone to a WS game so that would still be fun. =]

  16. heck yeah I would go!

that is still once heck of an accomplishment

I'd be sad and angry to know we would lose, but proud to know how far we came.

There is no way I wouldn't be there to support my team!

  17. I'd say Yes, as my beloved Chicago Cubs haven't been in a World Series since 1945 (they lost it) and the last time they won a W.S. was back in 1908, so history goes to show, they don't make it back there very often.  I would certainly go to be a part of history and even though they lost, I'd be proud that they made it.  Of course, I'd hurt a little inside that they didn't pull it off.

  18. Dang Elizabeth your so cruel Lil , i would watch because i may neevr get this Opputunity ever gain in my life

  19. I would definately go. And i would stay if we were loosing 10 to 1 in the ninth.

Miracles happen. And this year the whitesox already seam to have a few of those.

Thats whats great about sports, along with everything else, is that miricles happen.

  20. Nope. I'd scalp the tickets and watch in misery at home. But at least I may be a couple hundred bucks richer!!  :-)

  21. if i knew they were gonna lose than i would go to stubhub and sell the tickets. if we cant get the championships than i might as well get some money

  22. h**l no I would not go. Id rather not get disappointed in person.

  23. yeah why not? they are free huh?

  24. how?? many times does one get to go to a world series game??? huh? OF COURSE I WOULD GO, EVEN IF YANKEES LOST!!! WHICH, IN 2001, THEY DID! AT HOME! TO ARIZONA!!!

  25. I'd go...It's an experience that wouldn't be forgotten. I'm a fan of the game and being at a game 7 WS would be fantastic, regardless of the outcome. And...if I already know they'll lose, I won't be as devastated when it happens. :-p

  26. I would still go regardless till the very last inning. I will support my team no matter what.
