Well, technically yes, it is illegal. It is only illegal if the material is copyrighted, which in most cases it is. Some songs have licenses I think, so those songs are okay to download. However, I would stick to buying songs off of itunes. They aren't very expensive compared to the fine you will get if you are caught using Limewire.
