  1. Nope.  What's having someone else's driver's license going to help you any?

    So FALSE.  You have to have your own at all times when driving.


  2. False. The emergency (life or death) might justify driving without ANY license but would not justify impersonating another person, using their drivers license.

    If the "emergency" was that you simply had to get some beer for your party, using borrowed ID, then you can predict the result.

    Yet if it was a true emergency, that is life could be lost,  then the person would not be convicted.  

    Not a court in any land would convict if there was no alternative transport or if waiting for the alternative would increase the risk so rather than wait and watch as you bleed to death,  your friend drove you directly to a hospital.

    But if your emergency is like buying beer and smokes for a party.  Not a hope buddy,

    If there is an emergency (say your driver has a heart attack in an area with limited medical services, and you drive them to a nearby hospital) using someone else's license is pointless. In a true emergency, you can just keep driving to the hospital even if the police are trying to pull you over, then once you get the driver to the hospital you can explain what happened and you won't get in trouble. If you show them someone else's license you WILL get in trouble.

    If it's not a life threatening emergency, then don't bother.

    It is a defense to the crime of driving without a license that it was an emergency, and you had to. Having someone else's license is of no help.

  8. No it is not legal. That is what drivers license are issued so when you are pulled over the cop knows who you are.

    Impersonating another person to commit fraud is a crime
