It is making me feel sad , I need to tell him something , Can U plz help me ???

Hi; I am a 18 year old college guy ; We have a really wonderful professor , Unfortuantely , He is moving out of state & may permanently settle there , I mean he means something so important for atleast me , if not for the entire class ,; I am actually g*y & had a crush on him , BUT IT IS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT STORY ;

however that doesnt means that I dont respect him ; He always gave me a warm feeling of security , Perhaps that's why I liked him ; I never wanted him for lust U know ; The problem is he is very close to my heart & He is seperating now , We may never meet him again ; SO ANYWAYS , I just want him to know what we are losing ( atleast me , if not the entire class) as he is leaving us , I dont want to make the conversation sound too g*y & uncomfortable , neither want to make it too faint & boring , SO ANY HELP , any tips , what should I say him ; & should I gift him chocolates as a farewell ; ( Oh , BTW he is not g*y & doesnt know I had a crush on him, & I respect him as a professor))

you could just mention to a group of others that it sucks that he is leaving and you feel like you should thank him for all the help hes given you.. sugest like getting him a card.. or chocolates i spose, or you could just send him an email saying how much he meant to you that he has helped you alot etc.. good luck!
