No, you can choose how and which world you which to live in. There are, obviously, certain things about the world that we will not change but humans very often forget that it is we ourselves that choose how we see ourselves and our world. We can decide what values, intuitions, emotions, attitudes or beliefs to have and these completely change the world.

Consider for a moment how different the worlds of the Christian, the Buddhist, and Atheist are? the Communist and the Fascist? the happy and the sad? the optimist and the pessimist? the rich and the poor? the healthy and ill?

So many things, things which are hugely dependent on our choice, create how the world is for us. Very often, people who say we have to live a certain way, that we "must live in this world", have given up trying to change it. That's when you no longer care about it,and that's when it's time to die.
