Question:

It is my son's bday today, he's 6, he wants an outer space or solar system themed cake...any ideas? HELP!

I'd love some pics or instructions, I'm going to the market in about an hour.

  1. Make a regular cake, cover with black frosting. Now make some white frosting seperate into batchs. Add yellow to one batch and cover a corner of the cake with it for the sun. Make a little red batch and put on Mars. Blue/green for earth, make a little saturn with rings around it. Different colors for different planets. Look up solar system to get a picture to look at.

    And about cakes, it says:

    "Make a lunar cake by baking any flavor of cake in an oven-safe mixing bowl. Turn the cake out onto a cake platter and decorate with gray icing, pocking it with craters. Place a figure of an astronaut, lunar lander, alien or space shuttle on the top of the cake, surrounded by candles".

  4. do you have a factory card outlet near you? if so thats a great place.. they have all sorts of themes! other wise walmart...
