Question

since i was little i wanted to be a singer and/or a actress it has been my dream i am hoping to start off acting on disney channel but i dont no were they have auditions or casting calls i dont think that i can aford an agent either... how will i be able to somehow find auditions?...

how much do u think that it can cost for an agent???

before you start looking for agents, and wondering how much money to pay them, try looking for auditions.  this site has listings and they offer it for free: hollywood-opportunities(dotcom)

That is the &quot;mechanics&quot; of the business, not the actual performing experience that will make you into acting. Acting is something broader... I would recommend first to be an actor, then afterwards look for a place to perform and start the &quot;mechanics&quot;... Imagine that finally someone calls you after doing all that stuff and you are not really prepared to perform... Just pursue it, perform, perform in any possible play to get seen by as many people possible... You also have to identify a style that you want. A person, group, or company that really make you think &quot;I want to do that&quot;. Find a way to practice with their technique (and i said practice, besides study). Practice is finally what will get you on stage in a solid way. Make yourself clear if you want either a JOB or an artistic activity that will make you happy. Being notorious is not necessary being talented, or, even worse, it will make you compromise many ethical things that you might not like to do or act in plays that you dont really like. The commercial circuit not always cross roads with the pure artistic lane, so you have to be focused in what you deeply wish. Get you family support as well. Best of luck!

Well first off you cant really say &quot;i cant offord a agent&quot;.

Agents dont ask for money up front.

How do they get payed? they find you jobs and then they get a percentage of what you make..

But thats what hard about getting a agent, they have to believe in you.

they dont want someone who cant get any jobs. then they wont get any money.

So it doesnt really cost Much.
