It is now past the scheduled date for my rebate chek to arrive. Where is it???

I used Turbo Tax and am wondering if that is going to nullify the IRS schedule for mailed payments. Any one else have this experience?

You can goto the IRS.gov site. It has a tracker for your check. Mine was supposed to be mailed on the 23 of may....It was but to an address from 2 years ago. The website told me that mine had  been returned as undeliverable. They mailed my check back out yesterday.

on the letter i got from the irs it said to wait 6 weeks before contacting them mine was suppose to be here yesterday and it wasnt but my brothers was suppose to be here the friday before and he got his the tuesday after

The tax prep software or service you used has nothing to do with when your rebate will be cut.  The schedule applies only where the tax return was file early enough to be PROCESSED by April 15th.  Additionally there are many things that can delay the processing of your return or the rebate, so the bottom line answer is that you'll get it when you get it.  There is no guaranteed payment schedule and no legal deadline for payment.

When did you file?  If you efiled very close to 4/15 it's likely that you missed the cutoff for your return being processed by 4/15 so missed this first round - if so, you'll get your check in late July or in August.
