i live in england and was wondering what a 13 or 14 year old could get other than a paper round?

Some local pubs will let 14 year olds wash up and do light waiting sevice.

But it is all down to the pubs work policy.

Not in the UK, no. It's illegal to employ someone under the age of 16, other than a paper round. You might be able to get a part time summer school holiday job somewhere for cash in hand, (prob be min wage tho), but it would be up to the employers to take you on or not, as they could get in to trouble for it. yes you can get a job at 13/14 just go to you local news agent.

In Britain you are legally able to have part time jobs at the age of 13 but only certain types of jobs like paperounds etc not sure about shop assitants and things like that.

Ask at your local Police Station they may be able to help you or put you in contact with someone who can.
