  2. Well, you can't cure a person of his personality.  However, you can remove the disabling aspects of it.  That's through psychotherapy.

  3. There is no cure for autism. We don't even know what causes it, or how it works. In some cases however, mild childhood cases disappear as the child ages. That's pretty rare from what literature says though.

  4. Yes! it is possible

  6. Absolutely.  There are thousands.  The word is all over the net.  There is still the old fashioned stuff about how they can only be helped a little and all, just ignore all that.  Go to the websites and Yahoo Groups that talk about how many have been recovered.  The only problem is that we never know when and if our children will relapse.  Since its caused by pathogens and toxins, they can easily be reinfected.  I think most who are now living symptom-free are on some type of maintenance plan of healthy diets or some supplements.

  7. No. At this time it is absolutely and unfortunately NOT POSSIBLE. There are some cases where a person has learnt to hide or control certain behaviours in front of other people and also some cases where many of the symptoms have been alleviated but autism cannot be cured. Many believe that those who claim to have seen someone "cured" are referring to people who never had autism to begin with but rather some other problem. It is a spectrum. Although there are some people on the spectrum whose symptoms are so severe one can tell almost immediately, there are many others who are high-functioning and able to live relatively independent lives to the point where you'd never guess they had autism - but that doesn't mean they're "cured".
