It is possible if the plant Morinda Citrifolia(Noni) can be produced in greece?

I'm interrested in learning as much as possible for Morinda Citrifolia (Noni) especially for its production

  1. I would sincerely doubt it. Noni requires a tropical temperate zone to grow in most efficiently, and Greece doesn't have the right climate for a long enough period of time (a bit too far north).

    If you lived in Greece and wanted to grow some, they would probably end up being small and/or under nourished if they grew (survived) at all. Sorry!


  2. Yes!  You can!

    After a brief search I found that Morinda (actually an evergreen) is originally from Asia (farther North than you are) and Indonesia, and Australia and introduced to the Polynesian islands by seafarers.  Because it's so tolerant of volcanic soil it grows well in those areas..(Hawaii etc).  So the other poster is incorrect.  He is assuming Morinda is originally from the islands  so can only be grown there, but in fact it is grown there because it can tolerate the volcanic soil.
