  1. yes that possible, but may be awkward when entering the room in the dark as light switch may be behind door....<^><...

  2. Yea, just get the door n rotate it around so the hinge is on a diffor side, but you'll have to carve things in the door!!

  3. it should be possible as long as you have enough clearance to open it the opposite way

  4. yes you can we had two of ours done a few weeks ago the only thing is you will have to fill where handle waswhich is quite easy

  5. We did this in our bathroom with no problem.

  6. You have to reverse the hinges and reverse the tongue of the door lock. You will have hinge cut outs in the frame on the side where the door k**b is going to be. You can fill these in if you want to. You can use the existing door.

  7. yes it is possible using the same door but might be cheaper to buy a new one.

  8. I reversed all the doors in the house in order to make the rooms bigger.

I did'nt actually reverse the doors I swopped them over, so  the lounge became the dining room etc.

I have seen doors which were not only reversed but made to swing out on a landing instead of into the room.

  9. You can use the existing door, but You might need to change the lock unit for one that shuts on the other side.

  10. Of course you can. Re hinge to the opposite side, Scarf repair the existing hinge positions reinstate the latch to suite timber block the void and make good and if need be divert the light switch to the opening side of the door. ( A new door would be more cosmetically sound)

  11. if the door is painted it is relatively easy to do. you just need to cut new recesses for hinges in the door and frame, and reverse latch and handles in there present holes. then the holes in the door and frame from the original fixing position need repairing by cutting a piece of wood cut to size then glued and planed to fit or you could just fill with a two part filler and sand.  Then repaint the door and frame.

  12. Possible? yeah.   But not recommended.

Most wooden doors are beveled 5 degrees on the lockset side, so it will close easier when humidity is high.  If you just flip-flopped the door, the leading edge would drag against the jamb as it closed, plus leave an unsightly wide gap when it is closed.

  13. Yes it is possible to use the same door only problem is you will have the hinge on the opposite side of door showing!  But you could use a filler and sand it down and it will be unnoticable.
