  1. I attach myself to the fence with that handy type of luggage elastic strap that has hooks on, and then launch off for a jog. Its great- I'm never too far from home when I get a bit tired and fed up with running.


  2. Are you talking about resistance training or resistance running.

    Firstly resistance running would probably be defined as adding resistance over and above your normal running. So I would consider hill running, running on soft grass & sand as such. All provide resistance to your normal running and will result in you getting stronger.

    Resistance training is quite different. It is where you run a number of reps with little recovery in an attempt to get your body used to running with lactic acid in your muscles. Reps like 200 & 400 with similar length jog recovery or less at a few seconds slower than best time for as many reps as you can take. Mainly for track runners and unless supervised by a coach or you are an experienced runner can be very determental to your body if you overdo it. You can wipe out you whole season by overdoing these.
