  1. I know that they cant hear the heartbeat before 10 weeks (and that is a little early).  Call and ask your doctor.  They are there for you, dont be afraid to ask them questions.

  2. It might be a little too early.  I had an ultrasound at around 5 weeks to find out how far along i was as i have irregular cycles.  A heartbeat wasn't detected and they offered me an internal ultrasound.  Saw the heartbeat pumping away with the internal.

I would try not to panick as i'm sure its okay and they would have told you if there was any reason to worry.

  3. Check out this link. It says what to expect at what stage and size. I found it very reassuring during early pregnancy scans.

  4. could be just a little early.

my 2nd pregnancy i seen a heartbeat at 5.5 weeks, my 3rd it was after 7 weeks.

  5. could be too small, I'm not sure if they have fully developed heart beats this early, we don't even do ultrasounds here until 4 mths

  6. this is an early ultrasound but the heart could just be to shallow for the machine to pick up do not worry yourself unless your doc says it's a problem

  7. think about it, the baby is a centimeter and half long.  It would still be developing.

  8. Could you see a light flickering on the monitor,in most cases that's the heart beat...
