know WHERE in Asia? It would be logical that they came from an area in the EXTREME northeastern part of Asia. Do you know anything about which part of Asia they came from?

  1. The best answer I can give you is that they migrated around Asia before crossing the Bering Bridge.  Remember, they would have been nomadic hunters, not settled farmers.  Moreover, there is some evidence that at least some bands came from Europe, as well, either by way of a similar Eastern Bridge to Europe, or perhaps the long way around through Asia.  In point of fact, there is really no pinpoint for where any of the tribal ancestors came from in Asia.  Most all of the human population in that time period were hunter-gatherers, and they didn't conform to place or to race as we think of them today.

  2. The first signs of life were in Asia, & that is where we all more or less came from.

I must fully agree with the first person that answered.

  3. They would have crossed the landbridge that is where the Bering Sea is right now.  Actually, that would put them coming from Russia, but all sorts of people would have migrated from all over the Asian and Northern European continent during that time.  I think they came from more than one place in Asia.

  4. They traveled through the Bering sea from the northern part that is right next to Alaska. As for where they were from, genetic studies show that Native Americans to be closely related to the east-central asians.

  5. Supposedly they crossed over a land bridge between Asia and Alaska but where they were originally I don't know. From there they made their way south.

  6. It is thought that they came across a landbridge from parts of Asia yes. What specific parts is unknown.

  7. Coolrogue..  is Right !!

Our people have always been here !!

  8. We DID NOT come from Asia.  We were created on THIS continent and have histories going back over 30,000 years on THIS continent, and now some scientists say it could be as long as 50,000 years.  That is long before any supposed ice/land bridge from Asia.

And don't pull the DNA thing either, they have not proved anything using DNA.  We all come from Mother Earth of course we are all going to have some DNA markers in common.....
