We don't want to have two dishes on one pole, so I wondered if there was a way I could just attached the wires to one dish?

  1. nope,if it was ,EVERYONE would be doing it, tell your neighbour to pay up.

  2. yes, but you will need a dual or quad lnb and your neighbour will need his own receiver. If your neighbour wants to subscribe to sky he can ring up for an installation and ask the engineer to fit a quad lnb to share the same dish. If he just wants to receive the free to air channels he can find the quads and second hand boxes cheap on ebay (quad lnb £10 delivered, sky box £25 - £50 delivered) he will also need a offline card for channel 4 and 5  and Sky 3, and this can be found on ebay toghether with the box.

  3. Thats a good question !!

I have had a quick look around on the web about this ! There s nothing showing exactly how to do this but sky does have a multiroom offer

perhaps you speak to them to find out if this would be possible to do !

have a look this from there site it explains a bit about having on one dish !

  4. It is possible to supply more than one household from one dish - Sky will do this for people living in flats, but each household will need a separate Sky box. So even if you rigged up the cables yourself your neighbour would have to get a Sky set top box.
