It looks like Rags To Riches is in the Belmont, any thoughts on how she will do?

Well, she's bred for it and she'll no doubt run her heart out when asked, but I don't think she'll win.

I'm kind of sorry her connections have chosen to run her.  If she has a hard race in the Belmont, which is almost a certainty, then it might knock her out of some of the filly and mare races coming up.  That might make it harder for her to win a divisional championship.

It would sure be interesting if she did win-- she and Jazil, winner of Belmont last year, are half-siblings.  So she's surely bred for the Belmont distance.

Maybe it's just me, but her name is kind of ironic-- she's hardly a rags to riches story;  more like riches to riches, given her pedigree and connections.  

Anyway, I hope she does well in the Belmont, and I hope it doesn't knock her out of races until the fall.  I'd like to see her in some of the filly and mare races in New York this summer.

she's will have my $200.00 on her nose, the rest of the field are tired and busted up...she will romp in the Belmont.....

Top of the stretch....finds a seam and is about to make a big move and...............stops, placing last under the wire. This is not a great crop of fillies and she is not some super racer by any stretch of the imagination. Save your money and play an exacta box at a track after the Belmont Stakes.

well that filly has a lot of heart, and she has a big chance to win (i think)

but i think that it is going to be a good race, because Curlin, Rags To Riches and i can't member who else I think Hard Spun

I can't wait till the race though, i am actually a HUGE Curlin fan so i'll be cheering him on, but i also love Riches, but i havn't fallowed any of her races like i have w/ Curlin

so i think she will have a great chance to win but Curlin also has that prospect to, we'll have to wait and see though!

she will do pretty good, but it is not good for people betting on the race because with 3 top horses in the race prices just went down

I think she has a shot to be in the top four.I hope she does real well.

I think she will run great.  She has four Belmont winners in her first two generations and two more in her third, so she is bred to go the distance.  It will make the race interesting especially with the Ruffian movie on that night.

She's a nice filly, I just don't think she can handle the top 2 boys in the race.  The pace scenario will definately benefit Hard Spun this time around, but I see Curlin getting by him in midstretch and the filly running a game third.  I do think these 3 will distance themselves quite abit from the rest of the pack though.  I say Curlin by 2 under wraps late to Hard Spun, then another 2 back to Rags to Riches who is another 8 infront of the rest.

I think she'll be in the superfecta for sure, I like her to win or at least if Hard Spun and Curlin lock into a duel at some point.  Tiago is also intriguing, and I'mawildandcrazyguy is a big question mark as well.

guess pletcher will do anything to win one of these jewels, even try to fill the field with all his horses.  seriously though i think she should do well, but it's a long race and the field is pretty darn good. it would be kinda neat, as it's never been done, right. i'll put her in a few exotic bets.
