Because it was part of the plan - I could see that! Hold the French at bay - let them get tired - in the last ten mins or so - did you notice how they were huffing and puffing - then move in the strong boys - push the French back to their half and do what they did to the Aussies - surprised the French fell for it

Because Dallaglio is very good at marshalling the rest of the forwards. Did you notice that when he came on one of the forwards referred to him as "The General" He's a great leader evn if he isn't captain.

Maybe it's a coincidence but why was he so rubbish against the USA and then dropped? Hasn't started a game since but has come off the bench twice - both times in the last quarter? Maybe because a once decent player is well past it. He can still do it for about ten minutes but against USA he was awful...hence Ashton dropped him.
