do you feel about a member of your Royal Family risking his life for you? Will you have a parade for him when he gets back to the UK?

  1. This is why there is a spare heir!

  2. I'm an American but I have Irish and English relatives so I guess I'm entitled to voice my opinions on the subject (I'll do  that regardless):

Prince Harry joined the Army on his own free will. If his unit is being sent to Iraq (which it is) , he should come along like any other member of his team. British subjects/citizens should treat him in his military role the same as they would any other lieutenant. No special parades are called for unless they are for the whole unit/regiment.

We Americans, regardless of how we view the war in Iraq, appreciate our friendship and alliance with Britain and consider the British people our friends and relatives. Just go to the dentists more often!

  3. Your prince is British, not Irish. He won't be risking his life for me or any other Irish person, Ireland is an independent republic as I'm sure you know, despite your loaded question.

I wonder will you have  a parade for the far greater number of American troops who actually put their arses on the line, instead of playing army man in Iraq for a while like Harry will.

  4. We in Ireland couldn't give two s***s what little prince wants to go playing army with his toy gun. The war in Iraq is completely unjustified for a start so why not throw the little rich boy into the middle of it to serve and die with his subjects. The royal family is outdated and pointless so sending them to war is a good start at getting rid of a few of them!

He is not risking his life for Ireland and he is certainly no hero unlike the men who died for Ireland's freedom. Your ignorant question is a mockery to their memory. Go n-éirí leat. You'll need it!

  5. i think it's a good thing, i know there will be serious with security, and he will be a prime target, but it's good that he is not just in the army for decoration, he has stated time and again that he doesn't want to be treated any different to any other soldier, so in that respect he is doing the right thing by going to iraq. only problem is if he isn't in the front line he will be accused of being mollycoddled, if he is in the front line he will be a prime target, so it's a no win situation for him.

as for a parade? no. we haven't had a parade for any other soldiers in this conflict, so there won't be any for him, and in any event it's probably against someones human rights, or rascist to have a victory parade these days.

  6. i would like to think this is a joke, but its probably not, not all americans are stupid but for the love of god you should know ireland is NOT part of the United Kingdom.

questions like this make you wish the internet was only for smart kids.

  7. an la le harry nil mar ta se bearla cen fath duirt tu la fogra go doaine as EIRE ??????? an bufuil tu AMADHAN??????

  8. ahhh.................what????/?trying to be smart!!!!we are not in the uk you fool!

  9. I don't know why this question was put to the Irish, sure Harry has nothing to do with them, but maybe you meant N. Ireland, in which case it would be a mixed reception.

  10. I'm English, but why is this question targeted at Irish people???

Regarding Prince Harry, he is doing his job, and he appears happy to do it. I'm in no way a Royalist, but I actually quite admire Harry for being himself as much as he can.

  11. Ireland doesn't have a royal family

    we are a republic!

But if it's good enough for mrs. smiths son to  get shot at then it's good enough for him!!

  12. You sir, are a buffon!

Ha ha! Some people are just too easy to wind up. I just hope there's no trouble tomorrow in Dublin with regard to the England v Ireland rugby match. There's lots of sad Irish people worried about "God save the queen" (a national anthem for christs' sake) being played at the stadium.

Tally ho Mr. Darcy! Yes, quiet.

  13. Your taking the p**s right?

Anyhoo, Im from Northern Ireland, Irish and British opinions here. I think the general opinion is that Harry is not fighting for 'Our Freedom' but for Iraq peace. Most people admire him for it because having the reputation that he has, he has made a self sacrificing choice for the benefit of others and it has turned a few heads.

Oh and peachy girl, Im gonna slap your peaches pink cheeky lass!

  14. If you take a look in your history textbook, the Irish republic seperated from the UK a long time ago so he is not a memember of my royal family or of the Irish royal family so I could not care less what he is doing. The royal family is corrupt and took my families land forcing me to Canada. I say let him go and fight like a common man and die like a common man.

  15. George Bush should be sending his own daughters to serve.  I think nothing of the royal family except they are a waste of public money. However the English are really putting their national pride and image on the line with Harry's service.

Good show and fair play to him.  Like all others in that troubled part  of the world- safe home.

  16. Prince Harry has nothing to do with Ireland !!! We do not have a royal family ..

  17. I am here to state

    I'm here to relate

    To explain

    and make it plain that:

    I`m just wild about Harry

    and Harry's wild about me;

    The heavenly blisses of his

    kisses fill me with extasy.

He's sweet just like sugar candy

    and just like honey from a bee;

oh, I`m just wild about Harry

    and he's just wild about,

    he can't do without,

    he's just wild about me

Oh I`m just wild about Mandy,

    and Mandy's wild about me

Oh, I`m just wild about Harry

    and Harry's wild about me.

The heavenly blisses of his kisses

    fill me with extasy.

He's sweet just like sugar candy,

    and just like honey from a bee;

Oh, I`m just wild about Harry

and he's just wild about me.

  18. I see what you are doing, and it is very naughty Mr Darcy! Shame on you for baiting the Irish and confusing them with sarcasm!

I forgive you though, made me laugh.. now, lets see who takes the bait...

  19. I can't believe nobody above has pointed this out yet, but Ireland is not part of the UK and has nothing to do with the British royal family

  20. I would like to see Dubya go to war himself with a toy rifle after what he did to us (I'm American) and to innocents around the world. He needs to be up for war crimes.

Prince Harry is being a good soldier and doing his duty. Cheers to him. But, even I know that Ireland is an independant nation. What a silly question. I doubt he will be near any real combat...

  21. The only parades we will be having are on St.Patrick's Day and they certainly will not be in the honour of Prince Harry. The Irish Republic, established in 1949, severed all ties with the British Monarchy.Even when Ireland was part of the U.K. you would be hard pushed to find an Irish person who would claim the Royal family as their Monarch.

I can't decide if you asked this question to take the p**s or if your genuinely that ignorant?

  22. I hope so a parade is the least he deserves...Well done Harry We here in your First Colony send you our best regards ..All Ireland is rooting for ya

  23. what a odd question i could not give a ****  if he went to mars or the moon

  24. I'm Irish and I couldn't give a tiny rats *** - I don't consider the Royal Family to have anything to do with me and my country except trying to get their greedy little hands on it.  What have they ever done for us except inflict misery on our country?

  25. Who's Prince Harry? And where's Iraq?I thought it was Prince Charlie going to Iran.

  26. you'll see more combat outside a 24 hr tesco than harry will in iraq--they won't risk giving him any kind of overtly dangerous assignment. and what has that got to do with the irish? im from dublin and couldnt give a toss-more meat for the grinder

  27. If Harry goes over to Iraq to kill Muslims then I'll be rooting for the Muslims to get him first.

  28. The royal family is not part of Ireland. Now if you are talking about Northern Ireland (or as we call it  "The North" (just as short) that is a different story but you should state it in your question cos people outside of Ireland/north of ireland or the UK will get confused ya silly billy!!!

I think all irish people think very highly of him going out there but it is not the most important thing going on here (actually it probely is cos not much is going on here at the moment! Just Rain Rain Rain!!! BRING ON THE SUMMER!!!!)

P.S. Its funny how irish people and english people always put on an act that they hate each other when it is all such an image although i shouldn't say that seeing as i'm irish! By the way are you english or american or WHAT!!!!!!

    xxxxx

  29. i dont think its right considering 99% of the world knows the war over there was and is a farce.but hey i suppose hes putting something back to the british pepole.as the royal family cost us millions with their lifestyle.

  30. you're strange.
