It seems the vast majority of people work on MLK Day so I guess his message was not for everybody.?

  1. yeah it really sucks. everyone should be able to celebrate the holiday.


  2. It's a federal holiday but it depends on your job and your employer.

  4. MLK Day is not a day off work, it is a day to remember him and his teachings. Just because people are going to work doesnt mean the day is any less significant. Plus many work places celebrate this holiday in various ways.

  5. Not everybody gets every holiday off.

    The only time I ever had Veteran's day as a holiday was when I was in the military.

  6. we work on lincolns and jfk's, i even have to work on dec 7th. i have no problem but i do not see the point. just me.

  7. My store is on the parade route.....there are lots of people, many don't appear to be "privileged." Lots of people work on all national holidays, and on Sundays.....so I don't really get your point.
