It summer and im doing cross country camp besides that what else is a good way to get my time faster? for 2 mi

im 8th grader lookin to get my time to 12 min for 2 miles. What is the fastest(doubt there is) or most effective way to get it down to 12 i run about a 13:45 last cc season but i wasnt even running everyday last cc season. It my last year so i have to geive it all i have.

  1. Just run every day. If you're going into high school this year, try and contact them to see if there will be captain's practices. But if you run everyday, eventually you will get in great shape.


  2. start running at a faster pace then you usualy do and run as far as you can. keep doing this untill you reach 2 miles. once you reach 2 miles then keep going at that pace untill it becomes a little bit easier and then start over at a faster pace this realy helps. when your running in a race nearing the end make sure you dont start to become lazy because you see that its almost over just push yourself to keep going and if you still have gas in the tank sprint the last 100-200meters. hope this helps and good luck with cc
