Scrying Revelations - a minute poem

You always were the stronger one,

can't be undone,

you're not alone,

yet I'm unknown.

I'll ask that your love not grow cold,

but become bold,

and realize

not compromise.

I pray that you will sleep this night

away from fright.

From memory,

I'll wish you free.

  1. You have the form down well!  And a lovely poem!  Thanks.

  2. I have to agree with Amy, every form you try becomes a beautiful piece of writing.

  3. Every style you approach becomes radiant with your skillful touch. This is no exception; it is beautiful. Thank you.

  4. yes it is still a poem..

    it follows the guidelines.

  5. A highly sonorous form well executed; the contrast between the line lengths gives the feel of a ballad stanza, the sound of which has long attracted me more than I could ever understand.

For stanza 2, line 2, perhaps something that scans like `will be' for `become?'

  6. I love it when you people present me with something new--which raises a question I must now go and ask.
