  1. Peter Pan - J.M.Barrie and

    The BFG - Roald Dahl

  2. the moose and the bear, not sure of the author.. but i remember it was about this moose who got sick and the bear would try to cure him and i thought it was insanely hysterical and i loved that story!!!

  3. I can never remember the title, but it was about these seven children with the days of the week. They go to this place, where an old lady is, and she tells them this rhyme with their names.

    Like this:

Monday's child is fair of face,

Tuesday's child is full of grace,

Wednesday's child is full of woe,

Thursday's child has far to go.

Friday's child is loving and giving,

Saturday's child works hard for a living,

But the child born on the Sabbath Day,

Is fair and wise and good and g*y.

    I love it =) I wish I could read it again ...

  4. Going on a bear hunt !

I have read that to my boys because i loved it so much.

    or Each peach pear plum!

  5. I still have a great love for The Magic Treehouse series. It was fantastic. The Harry Potter of my childhood. :D

  6. They've ripped off the title from Bulwer Lytton.

  7. Just William books ... it was a long time ago!

Also remember enjoying The Adventures of The Little Wooden Horse

  8. The Pokey Little Puppy

    &

    How the Grinch Stole Christmas

  9. The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins by Dr. Seuss.

  10. I didn't, but I remember my mother reciting a very annoying and frustrating story to me:

'It was a dark and stormy night and the rain came down in torrents. The captain said to Antonio, 'Antonio, tell us a tale.' And the tale began as follows:' It was a dark and stormy night and the rain came down in torrents. The captain said to Antonio, 'Antonio, tell us a tale.' And the tale began as follows ad nauseam. I think she thought I would fall asleep from sheer boredom.

I loved all the Beatrix Potter books, but my favourite was 'Peter Rabbit' in French. I still have it. 'Pretentious, moi?' Yes, of course. 'Precocious, moi?' Not really, my mother was multi-lingual and I started learning French at the age of 7. (1950)
