Kuban Krasnodar’s Emil Caras has paid tribute to the newly promoted Russian Premier League team, admitting that the Russian outfit has deeply impressed him
Though Mordovia Saransk suffered a 1-0 Russian Premier League defeat against Kuban Krasnodar at Kuban stadium on Friday, the Cossacks assistant manager- Emil Caras has saluted the newly promoted side after claiming hard fought
three points against them at home.
In a closely contested match where both the sides started defensively, the home team came on top after bagging a neat goal late in the game. Kuban recorded their first win of the campaign as the visitors had little time to score
the equalizer.
The Krasnodar-based club played the match on the back of a painful 2-1 defeat against Anzhi Makhachkala on away turf and will now lock horns with FC Krylia Sovetov Samara next Friday.
“We knew it would be hard, now there are no easy games. Mordovia are a good, organized team, with dedication and discipline of the game. The guests came up with a game plan and left almost no space between them. So, it was very
difficult to open their defence.”
“The opposing team went on to defend in second-half. Unfortunately, the field was very slow and the opponent got more time to regroup. It was important to score a quick goal but we failed to score one early. We are very pleased
by the win, thank you guys for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684, and fans for their support.” The Moldavian National Division Champions was quoted as saying.
Caras was fulfilling the responsibility as a manager after the Russian Football Union banned Dan Petrescu for six games. The 44-year-old Romanian tactician is currently serving the ban and has been fined 50,000 Rubbles after pushing
a referee in Kuban’s 1-1 draw against Dynamo Moscow in May.
Caras has urged his side to build on the win, telling his squad to work harder for the upcoming match against the Rats in order to find a decent momentum in the ongoing campaign.
The Moldovan professional coach, meanwhile, warned his side against complacency and assured the fans of better performances.
