I previously removed the jukebox from my desktop and start menu assuming that would uninstall it but now I would like to reinstall it and my computer isn't allowing me to do so. The system keeps saying that I already have the version installed and to remove it but when I go to remove from the add/remove programs list it isn't listed. So where do I go from here since the yahoo jukebox is nowhere to be found in my computer???

  1. Mr. Cat has added additional information.  Yahoo doesn't send e-mails to let you know so  I am letting you know. :)

  2. Try installing this Microsoft cleanup utility:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

If it finds YMJ, then remove.  After that, you should be able to re-install YMJ.  Let me know if you have any problems.  If that doesn't work, there is a way by deleting some registry entries.

    Create a System Restore Point.

The following instructions will use Registry Editor.  Be careful!

Start->Run, enter regedit  (in the open box) and hit enter or OK.

Click the - sign by My Computer (scroll up if you have to). Click Edit, click Find.  Under find enter 2.2.2.056 and do find next.  You can use F3 to repeat the find.  Delete each registry key containing the 2.2.2.056. Note: Don't delete the stuff you see on the right pane of the screen.  Look for the key showing on the last line of the page and highlight that key on the left pane and right click and delete. There should only be a few entries to delete.  After you are finished, try to install again.  Again let me know if any problems.
