It won't syncronize music all the way through?!

Question

My Mp3 refuses to let music files save onto it all th way through.It reaches 10 - 20% copied when it stops and makes a funny noise (the player), It will then not copy anymore and cannot be unplugged safely from the computer because it says it is still in useany help would be greatly appreciated, thank youalya x
