It would be great to use MAGLEV (Magenetic leveation) enabled vehicles on the roads to eliminate pollution ? It will also ease traffic problems. I know it is impractical and costly. But I guess these ideas will be given great importance or thought only when

our *** gets burned with x-rays after the ozone layer gets ripped of?? What do u think??

  1. while you are in ignorant bliss, not even knowing the hole in the ozone is closing,  watching too much hollywood opiate, you make no progress on climate change.

  2. The Mag-Lev train is not only possible, but my father was one of the team that developed the original UK prototype at British Rail in Derby in the early 80's

  3. Last I heard the real problem is that superconductivity isnt possible at operational temperature yet this would lower the energy required at least.

  4. Uses too much energy.  Since it doesn't produce that energy it has to come from somewhere.  So it will do little to aid pollution

  5. Magnetic levitation is not technically possible on an open road. It would need a magnet track with VERY specific geometry. A maglev train is at least possible, but a maglev car is not. Anyway, it wouldn't save much energy, because the loss to friction of tires on the road is not that large.

  6. All I can say is  I pitty the fool that walks over the tracks with metal in their shoes!
