Italian Americans is it true you guys only drink red wine, never white?

I had some Italian American friends in Bensonhurst once, and whenever we got together they only drank red wine, even with chicken, is this with all Italian Americans or were they just peculiar?

Maybe they really liked Reds.

Pinot Grigio is very popular in Italy, so I'd say it's pretty certain that Italians and Italian Americans drink it.

It's all a matter of what you like, and I prefer reds myself. Just because you are having chicken doesn't mean the flavor of some of the other items on your plate won't be enhanced by a red.
