I'm looking for a good recipe for something with pasta, cheese, meat (maybe sausage), tomato, etc.... Something beside lasagna or baked ziti.

Any ideas? I've tried allrecipes.com but haven't really found anything interesting.

  1. I like this recipe, and so did my family.

Any hollow pasta, mostacelli, rigatoni, etc.

    4 boneless/skinless chicken b*****s

    Pepperoni slices, quartered

    Mozzerella and Parmesan cheeses

    Tomato sauce

    Italian seasoning

    Basil

    Salt and Pepper

Make a basic marinara sauce using the tomato sauce, italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and basil. oui can add red wine if you wish. Cook the pasta according to the directions on the package, drain and reserve. Pan fry the chicken and after turning them, add the pepperoni. Remove the chicken. Combine all the ingredients except the chicken and Parmesan cheese. Put on to a plate, add the chicken, top with parmesan cheese and any remaining mozzerella.

  2. how about taking the sausages out of the skins adding some sage rolling them into balls making a quick tomato sauce with a tin of tomatoes some chilli  some diced onion, garlic when cooked place in a casserole or baking dish with the sausage and sage balls bake it inthe oven then add to cooked pasta

with some Buffalo mozzarella or parmesan

or you could try mixing some caponata with pasta

something else i like is mixing goats cheese with mint asparagus peas broad beans cream a splash of white wine and garlic and tagliatelle

  3. This is my husband's favorite dish - and even better the next day:)

    SAUSAGE & PEPPERS

2 pkg. Italian sausage (I use one mild & one hot) - in 1" pieces

2-3 red / green / yellow bell peppers, cut into strips or cubes

    1 sliced onion

    3-4 cloves crushed garlic

1 can diced tomatoes (I like with the Italian spices)

    Cooked mostaciolli, penne or ziti

Brown the sausage in some olive oil.  Add onions & garlic and saute until soft.  Add rest of ingredients;  cover pot and simmer at least 45 min (the longer the better - up to 4 hours)......serve over cooked pasta

  4. Spaghetti bolognese is always a treat, but it's a little heavy for summer.  It's got all the stuff you listed and is one of my favorite meat pastas!

  5. Pepperoni Pizza Lasagna Bake(my own concoction!) My son loves iit and asks for it frequently.

For the Pizza Lasagna you'll need: 3 pks of rotini pasta cooked(or any pasta). 4 small pizza quick sauces your favorite 1 lb pepperoni 1/2 canadian bacon chopped or ham chopped 1/2 sausage browned & drained 1 1/2 lb. of pizza cheese or more grated. Layer the sauce first, then pasta pepperoni/meat, some cheese, sauce & so on..make sure to top with the sauce. Bake 400 for about an hour, top with cheese return to oven to melt the cheese for a few minutes. When done let cool for approx. 20 minutes serve with bread sticks or crusty garlic bread.
