Italian FA’s vice president Demetrio Albertini claims Mario Balotelli is a champion
Demetrio Albertini, the vice president of the Italian FA has gone on to label Italy forward and Manchester City striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937 as a champion, who just needs to be a little more cautious in the near future.
Balotelli was caught in the thick of things once again this past week, after the player was put under some extensive criticism for using his iPad while sitting on the bench during http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926’s Euro 2012 qualifier game against Faroe Isles.
Italian coach Cesare Prandelli tried to kill the situation before it got out of hand, but didn’t have much luck as the media is now all over Balotelli once again.
Despite that fact, it seems like the Italian FA is still backing Balotelli, as Albertini has admitted that Balotelli is in fact a great player, who just needs to be given a little time to show maturity.
When talking about Balotelli, Albertini is quoted to have said: "We need to show Mario the luck he has and how he is in charge of his own future”
"He is a very nice lad who behaves well within the Italy group, but sometimes he mixes up football with the media aspect.”
He then went on to highlight the fact that Balotelli’s attitude is what has been dragging him down for so long and once he finds a way to remedy himself, he could be one of the best players in the world.
"We know he is a great champion, but his attitudes are not ideal at times.”

"However, he has time on his side and he can continue to develop his game on and off the pitch."
Following his usage of the iPad on the bench, Balotelli has apparently been sidelined form the Italian national team for an indefinite number of games, in order to discipline him.
These actions are being hailed by many to be just what the player needed to get his act together. The young striker has time and time again been pointed at for his antics both on and off the pitch. However, so far whatever was done, didn’t seem to be enough
to get the striker to get his act together.
Now with him being pushed out of the national side, it seems like it is up to the player to find his way back in. Should he managed to get his head together, he could finally live up to his hype. However, if he fails to do so, then he could fade out as another
player failing to fulfil his true potential.
