I love Italian Lemonade (Ice) here in Chicago. The stand I got to the most is Marios Lemonade stand in Little Italy. I was wondering if Italian ice is something one can make on their own?

  1. Try this, it's easy and tastes authentic.

    ITALIAN LEMON ICE

    8 to 10 lemons

    1 tbsp. grated lemon peel

    1 to 1 1/2 c. lemon juice

    8 c. water

    1/2 tsp. salt

For a difference in flavor, add 2 or more cups of another fruit that is sliced, diced or pureed. Such as strawberries, cherries, watermelon, raspberries.

In saucepan, bring to a boil 2 cups water and 2 cups sugar. Let cool. Then mix together in an ice cream freezer as you would regular ice cream.

    Enjoy!

  2. yeah it's just a matter of shaving the frozen contents properly.
