Italian Serie A FT Report: Chievo vs. Juventus – Juventus lose early lead (Part 1)
Juventus travelled to take on Chievo, in what was both the teams scheduled match in the Italian Serie A. Prior to the game it was expected that the Italian league would face the same fate as most of Europe. However the weather seemed to be favouring the
Italians, as the snow wasn't half as bad when compared to Europe and the match carried out as it was scheduled to.
However this game was going to be the last match that both the teams would play before heading into the winter break being well aware of the fact that a win on the night, would give them a giant boost going into the New Year.
The line ups in the night were as follows: Chievo: Sorrentino, Cesar, Andreolli, Mantovani, Frey, Guana, Constant, Marcolini, Fernandes, Moscardellu, Pellissier.

The match kicked off with both the teams looking to go at it early on. However after some early knocking of the ball, back and forth between the two teams it was Juventus who started to show their dominance.
The away team created their first real chance in the twenty fifth minute, when Sorensen and Quagliarella showed chemistry together. Soon afterwards Quagilarella unleashed a pile driver however Sorrentino did brilliantly to dive to his right to keep the ball
out and keep the home side in the game.
Three minutes later, all of that changed as Juventus finally managed to get their name on the score sheet. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-Quagliarella-c13194 was the man to turn around swiftly in the box before whipping in an over head kick from five yards out. The ball was hit with tremendous
force and left the keeper with no chance at keeping it out. However once again closer inspection showed that the finishing was not as impressive and poor defending was prevalent.
Juventus nevertheless took the early goal to their advantage as they slowly started to string together a number of chances after the goal. Eventually neither of those chances resulted in any more goals, as the half ended with Juventus leading by one goal
to nil.
