Italian Serie A Full Time Report: Lazio vs. Udinese – Late own goal gives Lazio the win in thriller (Part 1)
Lazio were set to take on Udinese, in what was one of the coldest winters in the last hundred years of European history. Prior to the game it was widely believed that the match would be called off due to bad weather, however Mother Nature was rather kind
to the Italian league. Reports later confirmed that Italy wasn't as badly affected as other parts of Europe by bad weather.
However the weather did happen to take its toll on the fans as the stadiums was rather empty for the game. Nonetheless the players weren't concerned about the turn up as they got things off, once the referee blew his whistle to indicate the start of the
match.
The home side managed to take the lead almost immediately after the kick off. With the match clock showing just two minutes of the game having been played, Lazio had their opening goal. Udinese however were not unmotivated by the setback, as they were looking to score almost immediately after the opening goal. a golden opportunity for the team went begging.
