Italian Serie A Full Time Report: Lazio vs. Udinese – Late own goal gives Lazio the win in thriller (Part 2)
The second half kicked off with almost as much urgency as the first half. However this time around it was Udinese who were doing all the talking. The visitors managed to get their name on the score sheet only four minutes into the second half. Di Natale
curled in a brilliant cross to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexis-Sánchez-c4979 and the man of the hour ghosted into the box; no one tracking his run and with that he had the simple task of heading the ball into the back of the net.
With the visitors managing to level things on the night, the home side managed to kick things up a notch as they went on to redeem their lead just two minutes later.
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 having been awarded a corner, Andre Dias nodded the ball to Biava to tuck home and the defender did just that therefore the game was back on within a matter of minutes.
The game was managing to play more twists and turns then a crooked road on a hilly mountain, as ten minutes later the scores were level once again.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Denis-c10837, who had been brought on as a second half sub, managed to find the back of the net for the visitors. After being on the pitch for just a couple of seconds, he found himself at the right end of a Isla cross, the player then went onto to loop the ball
over the Lazio keeper with his head and give his side their second equalizing goal.
After the fourth goal of the match, things seemed to even out for both the sides as neither one looked to be getting the better of the other. With just five minutes left on the clock, it appeared that both the sides had accepted their fate and were looking
to share the points on the night.
However in the eighty ninth minute all of that changed. Rocchi crossed the ball from the left and just when it looked like the ball would be cleared behind for a corner, it managed to swerve into the back of the net. Kozak looked to be claiming the goal,
but after close inspection the goal came off, of Zapata and was declared as an own goal.
With everyone expecting Udinese to get back into the game for the third time, the team managed to fall just short as time happened to run out for them. As a result of the own goal Lazio managed to claim all three points in a game that is sure to be a contestant
for the best game of the Italian Serie A this season.
