Of course. I am half Irish and Italian ( Mom-Italian n Dad-Irish). I know a lil bout both sides but i know more of my mom's than my dad's. I did some research of my irish side and found out that I might be a descendant of an Irish king of Ireland possibly Kildare. I thought that was really kool. I think everyone should know more bout themselves and be proud for who they are.

looks like some just cant give you a decent answer. they are more worried about if its 25% that you need to find out about. and you have one that should have never been said. but to give you my opinion, i say go ahead and do the history. sounds to me like your intrigued by it anyway. could be interesting and you could have a lot of fun. Most (American) Italians think they're better and beyond blacks and hispanics (like they never sold/sell drugs, rob, steal and extort others.)

They're real good to smile in your face and talk down on you.

They call blacks moolies yet they only act up when there's more of them vs. blacks/hispanics.

They think blacks/hispanics are trying to be like them when in reality they stole our culture and claimed for themselves.

If you want to get into the Italian you go for the true European Italian. Great people and beautiful country. Its sad how the American Italians are putting them to shame.

Im half and half too culture is always good and knowing where you came from gives you a new self respect. I say go for it.
