Italian customs when visiting each other?

Do Italians have any customs or things they do when they visit each other's houses? Like a gift to bring or something you do when you're in someone else's house? It's for my school project, please answer ASAP

  2. umm..  you greet them, kiss them on both cheeks, hug.... eh accept any food they offer... but dont get so much that you have to leave food on the plate ( eat all of it ) and just be  polite... you can bring a small gift or some food for the person you visit :D good luck on the project!!!!

  3. I'm Sicillian..we always bring food and it is always polite to greet the relatives by a hug and a kiss on both cheeks

  4. depends on what you're going for i think. you always greet people with a kiss on both cheeks if you know this person. bringing deserts when invited to dinner is popular, never bring wine though because a lot of families make their own and its insulting.
