Italian food better for you?

I'm going on a trip to italy.....and I know this is going to sound shallow but I'm worried about gaining a ton of weight...

  2. Well if it's just a trip, you should indulge and enjoy while you can.... you can always diet & exercise when you're back home.

  3. You wont. Every one in italy is pretty skinny. You go walking every night and it is beautiful there. You shouldn't gain a lot of wait.

  4. italian cooking is better for you, as mostly homemade.  Italians also do a lot or walking.  If you limit your gelato (ice cream) intake...gaining weight will not be a problem.  I have been living here for almost 20 years.

  5. The food they have over there is very different from Italian-American food, which is heavy on dairy and fatty meats.  I don't think there's much of a concern.

  6. Id stick to eating on the go if I were you, a lot of old school Italians Ive known give you huge portions and get kind of offended if you dont finish or think you didnt like it...thats just the older ladies though for the most part

  7. Well... it comes to portion control...  It doesn't matter how healthy or unhealthy the food is.  Just don't gorge.
