Italian help?

i am trying to form some sentences for an Italian recipe and need some help please

1) Sprinkle the basil

2) Pour the dressing over the salad

I don't think what you already wrote is bad--but are you sprinkling basil over something evenly? That might be something to add. Also, "drizzle" might work better for the dressing since pour might tempt someone to "plop"
