Italians Please Help! Language Idiom.?

Question

So I had an Italian guest the other night ( I am about to have a long string of guests from various countries) and her English is great, but I want to try to translate the American Idiom "raise the bar" into Italian so she can understand what I am saying.

As In - Bianca you really raised the bar for future guests.

How would I say this in Italian?

well i think that "rais the bar" means that she was so great that the future guests won't manage to look and behave better... doesn't it?... well, i think that you can just tell her: i prossimi ospiti non saranno niente in confronto a te! or: i prossimi ospiti non potranno competere con te!

i'm sorry but we don't have such an idiom

"Sarà difficile per qualsiasi altro ospite essere alla tua altezza!" is an option, sorry if it's longer :)

"It's going to be difficult for any other [further] guest being as good as you"

"essere all'altezza" means being able (or worthy) to do something.

(tu) hai alzato = (you) have raised

il livello = the level

per = for

gli ospiti = the guests

successivi = next
