A short Italian girl had once told me something like "Good wine saves in small barrels" to refer her shortness is a good thing.

Can you recall the saying? What was that? (Both in English and Italian)

  1. "il vino buono e' di botte piccola" it means "good wine is from little barrel".

    ok?

i'm italian 100% but i was born and grew up in boston, so it's the exact translation.

  2. "Nella botte piccola c'è/ci sta il vino buono" is the proverb.

Also "Il vino buono è/sta nella botte piccola"; this version is commonly used when a not-so-high person talk about oneself :-)
