I want to go to Italy and am curious which city offers the most tourist attractions or is tourist friendly, any suggestions they are appreciated. I have read up on websites/books how a day typically goes there, but I would like more info from anyone who has visited/lived there what to expect or anything crucial people here think I need to know. What is the best place to get the travel insurance from and how much does this cost? What about Perillo tours, is this company a good one? Another called efcollegebreak I think, anyone traveled with them? Thanks ahead of time for any information you can give me.

  1. With Venice you either hate it or love it. Look at some pictures online and see if its something you would enjoy. For me, it is my all time favorite place, no cars, wonderful people, great food, fantasitic views and  great museums. I think it depends on your age and what you are looking to see. I enjoyed Northern Italy more than southern Italy. I felt the area around Naples was filthy, and disgusting, although Pompeii was fantastic to see. Anything from Rome and above is a must see.  Although, I felt Rome is kinda a tourist trap, the vatican and the collesam make it a must see.  The beaches around Pisa are beautiful. A drive through the Tuscany region is unbelievable. Where ever you go I found the people to be friendly (except in Naples where we got robbed!) Enjoy Italy and dont forget to see some of the smaller towns and back roads!

  2. Every place you go in Italy is wonderful but Rome has tons of things to see and do and a very tourist friendly I don't know the best company to get you their i stayed with family.

  3. Florence and Venice are musts.

Milan and Genoa are equally beautiful.

    Naples.

If you have the time and courage.... well.... Roma.

  4. hi! there's a lot to see in Italy, and anywhere you go you'll find something worth a visit. the cities with most touristic attractions are probabily Rome, Venice, Florence, Naples, Palermo.

Genoa, Milan, Bologna, Verona, Perugia, Siena, Pisa, Urbino, Catania, Siracusa, Lecce are beautiful too. the best sea is in the South, mostly Sardinia and Sicily. Rome, Venice and Florence are full of tourist and people are used to it. Sometimes they are not very friendly with them. Some suggestion: before buying something confront the prices carefully, and in the biggest cities beware of pickpockets!

    Have a good trip!

  5. Rome was my favorite city.  Followed by Florence.  I hated Venice with a passion and will never go back.

Smaller places I liked were Verenna by Lake Como and Riomaggiore.

  6. Rome, Venice, Florence, Siena, S. Gimignano, Pisa, Ravenna, Naples... (art&history)

Capri, Portofino, Taormina, Sardegna (see beach)

    Cortina, Dolomiti, Catinaccio, Rosengarten (mountain)
