Are there any celebrations, rites of passage, or rituals that Italians have for young people who are entering adulthood? This is for my world history project...if possible, could you give me a website as well?

  1. there are not celebrations or rites in Italy in this case.

  2. i'm italian. we do make some celebrations.

for our 18th birthday (you officially become adult), we usually rent a disco and have a private party with all people you know.

another party like that is when you get your degree.

  3. WE HAVE PARTYS FOR THE GIRLS THAT TURN 16 THAT ABOUT IT

  4. I don' think so. But most Italians are Catholic, and Catholics have certain coming of age rituals such as christenings, first communion, etc. that I'm sure they follow.
