Italy's stance on Child Soldiers?

First what year did Italy join the Coalition to Stop the Use of Child

Soldiers, Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the UN Human Rights Council. Also if anyone could offer info on Italy's stance on Child Soldiers it would help!!

  1. Italy ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child October 15, 1991 and the optional protocol dealing with armed conflict on June 09, 2002. Italy was elected in 2007 to the UN Human Rights Council. The Coalition to Stop the Use of Child Soldiers is not composed on nations. The second site below has an excellent recent statement by the Italian government to the UN on the issue of children in armed conflict.
