Okay, so I'm going on a school trip to Italy & Greece over March break, does anyone have any advise for anything in particular that I should bring with me (besides the obvious camera, money & clothes), or tips for travelling there. I'm so psyched to go.....I plan to have gelato everyday!! :D

Thank youuu!

  1. comfortable shoes/sneakers (lots of stairs, walking up hills/ mountains), hat, glasses, f***y pack. Still cold so bring layered clothing, sweaters, jacket, etc. calculator so you can figure currency exchange - make sure you keep your receipts so you can get the VAT (19%) tax back at the airport you pay for any items you purchase in these countries. Have fun!!!

  2. i think u will have a great time...u may need 2 buy a book about Greece and Italy(read only the most important things-such as things about the places u r going to visit).don't forget to take some summer clothes with u because sometimes it's getting really hot in march in Greece but also sth for the rain, comfortable shoes-don't forget it because I'm sure u'll walk a lot. If u live in E.U. u don't need a passport-just an identity card. Ur camera is really important-these places are great and ur time with ur friends is sth inestimable.

i live in Athens and the truth is that Athens is not the best place for vacations-only the ancient buildings are nice-some other cities or islands, like Corfu or Thassos, are better...

hope u'll have a nice trip!

  3. That's "advice" and just have fun. I was over there in late November on a cruise and fell in love with Rome. Athens was neat too, but chaotically busy.

There's TONS of things so see so be prepared for visual overload.

I hope you have a GREAT time!

  4. Check out  my page about what to pack when traveling to Italy and about Italy's favorite snacks. Have fun!
