Italy announces its squad - Italy v France build-up – Six nations update
After some ground shaking clashes so far in Six Nations, Italy versus France clash is the next most anticipated fixture. The clash will take place on Saturday at Stadio Flaminio in France, under the supervision of Bryce Lawerence.
Italy has announced its squad after much consideration and delay. Inclusion of Paul Derbyshire was already confirmed yesterday, after he was reported to have totally recovered from injuries. Micro Bergamasco’s inclusion in the squad was also affirmed by
Nick Mallet the coach yesterday. Bergamasco has been playing in the French clubs and will prove to be an important weapon against France this weekend.
Nic Mallet recognizes the complexity of the situation as this clash is going to be a decider for Italy’s fate in Six Nations. If Italy loses, it will have to accept the discouraging wooden spoon for the second time in RBS Six Nations.
On the other hand, France needs to win this match in any case, if it wants to grab the Six Nations title. After losing to England, the French side would retaliate like always and will not be letting go any lose ball or gap.
Nick Mallet has made a few changes and finally announced his squad. Kristopher Burton is still on benches and many eyebrows have been raised on this matter.
