    the answer is "D - Both A and B."

    Mussolini was facing a restless nation and wanted the people to concentrate on something else. So he garnered the anger of the people behind the smoldering embarrassment that was Adowa and riled up the people's sense of revenge.

    I guess that decision's what we call a historical "Oh, c**p! What have I gotten myself into?" moment.

    Italy lost the war both in Ethiopia and Europe, and the people lynched Mussolini.
